The Council announces that our longtime Deputy Director, Deborah Jordan, will leave the Council to pursue other professional interests and spend time with her family, as of January 31st.

CEO Valora Washington said "Deborah has faithfully served the Council for 23 years. Her work has enhanced the professionalism of the early childhood education field throughout the nation. She will be truly missed. We honor and celebrate her service."
Here is a special message from Deborah to the CDA Community:
"Although I will leave on January 31, I will take with me many great memories of working with the CDA Community. I had the pleasure of talking with many of you on the telephone or meeting you at conferences and training events. I truly enjoyed hearing the stories and adventures you encountered as part of the credentialing process. I often thought how lucky I was to be part of a national effort that served as a springboard for personal growth and enhanced the career opportunities of so many individuals. I truly believe in the foundational concepts of the CDA Credential and as the Council prepares to launch CDA 2.0, I know the program will continue to achieve its original intent along with your continued involvement."
We know many of you have developed relationships with Deborah over the years. If you would like to send your well wishes to Deborah, you can send her an e-mail by clicking here: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
