Revised Competency Standards Books are here! | |||||||||
The Council has released the newly revised editions of the Child Development Associate (CDA) Assessment System and Competency Standards books for all setting types: Preschool, Infant/Toddler, Family Child Care, and Home Visitor. The revised Competency Standards reflect changes to the Professional Resource File requirements and updated information included in the Second Edition of Essentials for Child Development Associates Working with Young Children training curriculum , edited by Carol Brunson Day. Essentials is commonly used in the field as a textbook to prepare CDA Candidates to meet the 120-clock hour formal training requirement. Note : All the Competency Standards books are color coded by setting types: green for Preschool, yellow for Infant/Toddler, and blue for Family Child Care. The Home Visitor Competency Standards book is now lavender. |
