What is the theme of Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day?
Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day is a new children’s book suitable to be read during story times for young children.
The book tells the story of a day in the life of Mr. Nakada, a CDA early childhood educator, and how he uplifts, teaches, and cares for the young children in his classroom on a day when a new child from Japan joins their class.
How can individuals enter Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day Book Giveaway?
To enter the Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day Book Giveaway, individuals must renew their CDA. This can be done through the Your Council portal.
However, submitting the required documents and verifications is only the first part of entering the Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day Book Giveaway. To be entered into the giveaway, individuals must have received a notification from the Council for Professional Recognition stating that their application to renew their CDA has been approved to be fully entered into the giveaway.
The first 100 individuals who are approved for the renewal of their CDA at the start of each quarter will be selected as book recipients.
Will book recipients be expected to pay for the shipping of the book?
No. Book recipients will not be responsible for shipping costs.
When will book recipients receive their copy of Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day?
Book recipients are estimated to receive their copy of Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day by the end of the first month of the quarter for which they were selected as a book recipient. Please note that there may be shipping delays in the event of delayed inventory availability. However, rest assured that if you are selected as a book recipient, you will receive your copy!
Will first time CDA applicants also be entered in the Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day Book Giveaway?
No. The Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day Book Giveaway is exclusively for those renewing their CDA only.

When should individuals apply to renew their CDA for the best chance of becoming a book recipient?
Typically from the time an individual submits all of their documents and verifications required to renew their CDA, it takes 5 business days for their CDA to be approved for renewal. Therefore, to have the best chance of becoming one of the book recipients, those renewing their CDA may choose to submit all their documents and verifications for their CDA Renewal about one week prior to the start of one of the four quarters.
How will those who renew their CDA find out if they have been selected as a book recipient?
Book recipients will receive an email which will notify them that they have been selected to receive a copy of Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day as part of the Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day Book Giveaway.
Book recipients can expect to receive the notice email within the first month of the quarter during which they renewed their CDA (either in July or October of 2024). Those who were selected as book recipients during the first and second quarters’ can expect to receive the notice email also within the month of July of 2024.
