Ensuring High-Quality CDA Training
The Council offers the CDA Gold Standard to ensure CDA training provided to students is best-in-class and provides preparation for the entire CDA process. To identify the delivery of a high-quality program, the Council deploys a CDA Gold Standard (GS) Specialist™ to conduct the Site Visit Review. Before serving in this role, GS Specialists will receive intense, Council-mandated training to ensure that our ambassadors are fully qualified to determine if organizations meet our rigid standards.
The Council is seeking experienced members of the ECE community to serve in the role of Gold Standard Specialists responsible for completing the Site Visit Review, which is the final component of the CDA Gold StandardSM application process. If you are a professional member of the ECE community, you may be a great fit. We are recruiting early childhood education professionals who meet our education, experience and training requirements.
If you meet these qualifications, we encourage you to apply!
- Hold a graduate degree in early childhood education, child development or a closely related field
- Have at least 3 to 5 years of work experience in the ECE field
- Have at least 5 years of experience teaching adults as a faculty member at a college or university, ECE trainer or consultant
- Worked within the past 5 years or are currently working with an adult learning or training organization
Have questions? Contact our Gold Standard team at GSS@cdacouncil.org.
Eligible GS Specialist applicants will be provided an extensive training program that incorporates interactive learning, visual and oral presentation, resources, assessment, quality assurance and open opportunities for question and answer sessions.
The training program provides eligible applicants with the knowledge and skills required to conduct a thorough and objective CDA Gold Standard Site Visit Review. Completion of the training will increase the Gold Standard Specialist’s understanding of the requirements and processes for both the CDA and CDA Gold Standard.
