CDA® Funding Request Process Closed

The Council for Professional Recognition, Maryland State Department of Education and Maryland Family Network have been partnering to offer funding for Maryland early childhood educators to earn or renew the Child Development Associate® (CDA) credential.

The Council for Professional Recognition’s grant has made a significant impact within the state of Maryland!  As a result of the grant, 1,280 educators have received books, 817 educators have had their assessment fees covered, and over 750 educators have received fully funded CDA® training.

Given the success and popularity of the initiative, the process to request vouchers for CDA textbooks and assessment fees is now closed and may reopen at a later date when additional funding becomes available.

The Council appreciates the support and trust extended to us by MSDE and the wonderful collaboration with Maryland Family Network throughout the grant. The funds have been instrumental in advancing the Council’s vision of a society where all children learn and thrive in environments led by competent, valued early childhood educators.

The Council is grateful for the opportunity to have made a meaningful impact by advancing career pathways for early childhood educators in the state of Maryland.  We encourage all those interested in pursuing the CDA to do so through our general application process. The CDA is a key step on the path to career advancement in early childhood education! Additional information on the CDA can be found at: www.cdacouncil.org.
