CDA® Golden Moments

April 23, 2025

This year CounciLINK marks the 50th anniversary of the CDA with a new monthly feature. Each edition will put the spotlight on the rich history of the credential with stories about key milestones or members of our CDA and ECE communities who have made special contributions to the early learning field.

In honor of Week of the Young Child, we are featuring two engaging white papers from our thought leadership vault. “Let the Children Play” discusses the value of play for young children and “Tech for Every Tot” explores the gap between the hard facts and hype when it comes to the role of technology in teaching and explains how to bridge the digital divide. Read our papers to get a prescription from Lego’s first professor of play; learn more about Generation Alpha, the digital natives we serve; and read some wise words from Mr. Rogers on why screens can’t replace a teacher’s loving embrace.
