Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day: The Council’s First Children’s Book is Available

April 23, 2025

We’re proud to release our first-ever children’s book as we continue to mark the 50th birthday of the CDA. Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day is full of lovely pictures that portray a day in the life of a CDA and how they engage with young learners. It was written and illustrated by Shunsuke Baba and edited by Dr. Calvin Moore, the Council’s CEO.

You can purchase Mr. Nakada’s Busy Day in the Council Store, and perhaps you should think about buying it for some of the busy educators in your life. This is a perfect gift for current CDAs, who can understand how hard Mr. Nakada works. It’s also a great token of congratulations to new CDAs who are joining in completion ceremonies this spring. And we encourage you to consider adding it now to your bookshelf at home or in your class. For a limited time, our book will include a commemorative seal to honor the 50th birthday of the CDA, a credential that has launched more than a million educators on busy and meaningful careers.
