The Council for Professional Recognition is excited to announce the revised 2nd edition of the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential for Home Visitors, to be released this Fall 2011 in both English and Spanish.
All major longitudinal studies have shown that parent/home visitor involvement is a critical component of young children’s school readiness and lifelong success. Since 1981, the Council is proud to have credentialed thousands of Home Visitors, who work as parent educators, family development specialists, and parent consultants.

The Council has also been the trusted resource for all entry-level early childhood credentialing since 1974, providing competency-based certification to over 280,000 preschool, infant/toddler, family child care, and home visitation professionals nationwide.
The Council’s time-tested CDA credentialing process and exam remain aligned with the current research and best practices of the early childhood field. The Home Visitor credential is the only national certification of its kind that also utilizes built-in coaching and mentoring to increase personal effectiveness.
