Washington Travels to Washington

This October, CDA Council CEO Valora Washington was a keynote speaker at the 36th annual
Conference of the Washington State Association for the Education of Young Children (WAEYC) in Vancouver, Washington.

In addition to being a keynote speaker, Valora held dialog with college faculty and council representatives about CDA 2.0. Valora said the response was very positive.
After her presentation, Valora was approached by a representative who has worked with the Council for more than 25 years who said she is incredibly excited that CDA 2.0 will add reflective dialogue to the credentialing process.

CDA 2.0 Support in Pennsylvania
This month, The Council's Manager of Early Childhood Education, Vivienne Oxford, traveled to Enola, Pennsylvania, to discuss the upcoming transition to CDA 2.0 with the staff of Pennsylvania Keys. The role of the Pennsylvania Key is to help provide quality improvements and professional development supports for early childhood education. Vivienne said the staff seemed excited about the transition and were eager to discuss how the new curriculum changes would impact their training on CDA 2.0.
