The week of April 19-25 will find centers and organizations nationwide celebrating the Week of the Young Child (WOYC) to publicize the vital role adults play in providing the foundation children need to succeed in school and beyond. If your center doesn't already have plans, it's not too late to use this opportunity for a community-wide focus on enriching the lives of young children. The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), sponsor of WOYC, provides a multitude of ideas and resources to help you plan events for your program or organization — including a free WOYC Event Planning Handbook. website
