A Council Community Member in the News

April 17, 2026

Janna Rodriguez has championed change as the founder and CEO of Innovative Daycare Corp. in Freeport, Long Island. This month, she received recognition at the Premier Business Women of Long Island Awards. The yearly event celebrates women who are leading, building and shaping their communities for the better. This has long been Janna’s mission as an advocate for early childhood teachers, proponent of the CDA® and member of the Council’s CDA® Advisory Committee, which provides insights and perspectives on best practices to the early learning field.

In these various roles, Janna works to reshape how America thinks about child care by showing that it’s a core infrastructure of the economy nationwide. This goal inspires her efforts to make Innovative Daycare a model of how to support workforce participation, small business engagement and community resilience. The success Janna has achieved reflects more than her personal journey, she acknowledged upon being honored as a premier business woman of 2026. “This recognition represents the families I serve, the educators who show up each day, and the ongoing work to elevate early education,” she said while committing to the work ahead. “I want to be part of change,” Janna has told the Council, “and I’m willing to do whatever it takes.”
