WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Council for Professional Recognition, the nonprofit that offers and administers the Child Development Associate® (CDA) credential, is sharing an important achievement of its own: it’s proud to be Certified™ for the first time by Great Place To Work®.

The prestigious award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at the Council for Professional Recognition. This year, 96% of employees with the Council say it is a great place to work, compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.

Dr. Calvin E. Moore, Jr., CEO of the Council, says, “We work hard throughout the year to advance career pathways for early childhood educators. That’s why we’re gratified to know that our team members who focus on this goal also feel we do a great job in serving them as valued partners and an employer of choice. We pledge to continue to focus on our mission and the important roles our colleagues play in our success.”

“Being named a Best Place to Work is a testament to our overall commitment to our employees. At the Council, we continuously strive to develop policies and practices that empower every individual to thrive, personally and professionally. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where unity, passion, and collaboration are celebrated every day, making the Council a place where people feel valued and inspired to contribute their best work”, says Janie Payne Vice President, People and Culture at the Council.

Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.

“Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience,” says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, the Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasizes that Certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that the Council for Professional Recognition stands out as one of the top places to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees.”
