Café Q&A: Updates to CDA Education Documentation

The Council for Professional Recognition is committed to ensuring the Child Development Associate® (CDA) Credential™ continues to reflect high‑quality preparation, meaningful learning, and strong alignment with career and education pathways. As part of this commitment, the Council will soon release updates to the education documentation required for CDA® training.

Join us for a Café Q&A focused on the forthcoming updates to CDA® education documentation:

  • Thursday, April 30 at 12:00 PM ET Café Q&A (presented in English)
  • Thursday, April 30 at 4:00 PM ET Café Q&A (presented in Spanish)

You’ll learn why this documentation is important to the quality and credibility of CDA credentialing and how updated guidelines can improve the systems that support educator preparation, advancement, and mobility. Most important of all, you will have an opportunity to ask questions and offer feedback for consideration, as the Council develops these updates.

This conversation will be led by Abena Ocran-Jackson, Vice President, Credentialing and Programs, and Dr. Bisa Batten Lewis, Director, ECE Competence and Practice here at the Council.

We look forward to engaging with you and hearing your views on the education requirements for aspiring CDAs.
