CDA Around the Nation TennesseeThe Council enjoys Southern Hospitality at its finest at Tennessee Conference
This month, the Council's Senior Manager, Vilma Williams, was asked to present at the quarterly Tennessee Early Childhood Training Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Vilma spoke to an audience of mentors, instructors and coordinators about the forthcoming CDA 2.0 transition and the role of the new Professional Development Specialist. She said the presentations were met with a warm, positive response from the audience, who thanked her for answering their questions and relieving some of their anxiety about the transition. Vilma also had a chance to experience some true southern hospitality during her visit to Nashville. She said she enjoyed the people, food and the shopping in the Country Music Capital of the World and looks forward to going back! CDA 2.0 Transition Excitement GrowsThe Council has received an outpouring of positive responses since the release of the CDA 2.0 Transition Guide in August. "The Transition Guide answered many questions I didn't know I had... and I really applaud the Council!" Phyllis O'Connell, M.Ed. The Guide is a helpful tool, mapping out the changes that will occur in the credentialing process, officially beginning on June 1, 2013. The Transition Guide and Transition Comparison Chart are now available to download in Spanish! Both versions of the Guide and Comparison Chart are available to download for free by clicking here, or on the picture above.
Information Sessions We've created bi-weekly information sessions to give the CDA community a chance to have their CDA 2.0 questions answered. These hour-long sessions will walk participants through the CDA 2.0 transition with the remaining time devoted to a Q&A session. Due to popular demand, we are increasing the number of open slots for our CDA 2.0 information sessions. Be sure to follow this link to sign up to participate in a convenient session while spaces are available! If you're unable to sign up for a session, don't worry! Recordings will be made available later this fall! Introducing the CDA 2.0 Facebook Forum To see what CDA Community members are talking about, please visit the new Council's CDA 2.0 Facebook Forum. There you can post your own questions about CDA 2.0 by topic. The Council strives to answer questions within two business days. Like us on Facebok to join the conversation!
