WASHINGTON, DC — The Council for Professional Recognition congratulates President Joseph Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on their inauguration and the beginning of their term in office.

The Council’s CEO, Dr. Calvin E. Moore, Jr., says, “We were all heartened by President Biden’s words and we recognize their special importance given the current situation in the country. We, as early childhood educators, are ready to do our part to bring the country together and create a path to a brighter future. Our country has achieved many things in its history, and we know when we work together even more great accomplishments are possible.”

The Council for Professional Recognition promotes improved performance and recognition of professionals in the early childhood education of children ages birth to 5 years old. The Council recognizes and credentials professionals who work in all types of early care and education settings including Head Start, pre-k, infant-toddler, family childcare, and home visitor programs. As a nonprofit organization, the Council sets policies and procedures for assessment and credentialing. To date, over 800,000 CDA credentials have been issued around the world.
